About the owner
My career began in 1993 when I took my first job as an ambulance medic, immersing myself in the fast-paced world of emergency care. Over the next 22 years, I dedicated myself to the role of a paramedic, ultimately serving in a bustling urban 911 system that honed my skills and resilience. In the midst of my paramedic career, I pursued higher education, completing my bachelor’s degree in biology. This academic achievement led me to the MCPHS physician assistant program at the Worcester, Massachusetts campus, where my commitment to health advocacy blossomed. I was honored to be selected for the PAEA Student Health Policy Fellowship, gaining invaluable experience in advocacy in Washington, D.C. In 2016, I proudly graduated magna cum laude with my master’s degree and earned induction into the Phi Alpha National Honor Society, marking a significant milestone in my professional journey.
After graduating, I embarked on my professional journey, dedicating the first five years to the field of neonatology. This experience deepened my commitment to healthcare and provided me with invaluable skills in caring for vulnerable populations. During this period, I simultaneously pursued my academic ambitions, culminating in the attainment of my Doctor of Science in 2019. With a strong foundation in pediatric care, I made a significant career shift in 2021, transitioning to adult care. My first role was in correctional medicine, where I encountered diverse health challenges and learned to navigate complex environments. Currently, I am proud to serve at a local community health center, where I strive to make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of adults in our community, applying my combined clinical and academic knowledge to promote holistic care.
In 2024, I proudly achieved certification in lifestyle medicine from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, marking a significant milestone in my professional journey. This year, I am excited to further my credentials by becoming a Blue Zones certified provider, which will enable me to promote healthier, longer lives in my community. Additionally, I am currently working towards my certification in culinary medicine, a field that combines nutrition and cooking to empower individuals to make better dietary choices. Through these endeavors, I aim to enhance my ability to support others in leading fulfilling and health-oriented lifestyles, fostering well-being through both lifestyle and nutrition education.
